THE FRAY IS BACK! Ten years since the release of their last album “Helios”, the iconic alt-rockers are marking their return to music. Following an indefinite hiatus in 2016, the band is gearing up for the grand release of their new EP “The Fray is Back”, coming out on September 27th. Moreover, they’re launching a comeback tour in celebration of the band’s return. With a new lead vocalist, a narrowed-down lineup, and an exciting new record, get ready to witness The Fray’s new era unfold like never before.

Known for their massive hit singles that defined mid and late-2000s alt-rock, they’ve got us all hooked on “You Found Me”, “Look After You”, and “How to Save a Life”. Back with a new single “Time Well Wasted” (their first release in EIGHT years), they truly are worth the wait. Whether it’s time wasted or time well spent, we can’t help but rock it out to the new track. Hitting hard as they always do, fans are pumped up for the grand release of the new EP.

“When we decided to go on indefinite hiatus back in 2016, essentially ending the band, I actually came to peace with it, for a while at least,” Joe King shared in a statement. “What I didn’t anticipate was that our music would live on, and perhaps I underestimated how our songs have become woven within the stories of millions, and no one forgets their story.”

No one forgets their story. The Fray’s music continues to make an impact on fans who followed their rockin’ tales about life. Though they took a brief pause in making music, their hits have continued to attract new listeners, making them a legendary band whose timeless hits have become relatable anthems that act as a shoulder to cry on.

Upon the release of their new single and the announcement of the band’s upcoming EP, Dave Welsh shares how grateful they are for the opportunity to pick up right where they left off. “For us, to be able to pick up the conversation where we left off is an unbelievable honor—and the opportunity to start a new conversation is something you just can’t take for granted, too,” Welsh said.

With four Grammy nominations and three wins on the Billboard Music Awards, The Fray has sold millions of records globally, making their name known as an unstoppable force in the alt-rock scene. An inspiration by many new artists today, their music has stood the test of time, and they’re back for another shot.

In a feature by The Denver Post, Joe King shares how “The time away was a difficult gift,” and how challenging it was to find himself outside of the band. Sharing how they didn’t even foresee this point in time six months ago, “I just knew that if I didn’t write, I would destroy myself, so in essence it’s a way of saving myself.”

Hitting the stage at Orpheum Theatre Boston, the venue’s majestic hall is a perfect match for the band’s grand celebration of their return to music. From “How to Save a Life” to “Time Well Wasted”, get ready to experience THE FRAY back on stage as they perform their biggest hits and new anthems at THE FRAY IS BACK tour.
