On The 50th Anniversary Perform 'Horses'

After all, one doesn’t just become a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and rank as one of the greatest artists of all time for nothing. 

Now, 50 years after she made her undeniable and unmissable mark on the rock and roll industry, the rock and roll seer are hitting the road on a massive tour canvassing both North America and Europe, in celebration. For the first time in 20 years, the legendary Patti Smith will be performing her 1975 debut album, ‘Horses’, in its entirety. The fall tour is bound to kick off early October 2025 in Dublin, Ireland, visiting numerous major venues across the two continents, before wrapping up at the end of November 2025 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She will be joined by her longtime sidekicks, guitarist Lenny Kaye, drummer Jay Lee Daugherty, keyboardist and bassist Tony Shanahan, and her son, guitarist Jackson Smith.

It’s a feast of that very same vivid, uncompromising poetry, spiky minimal arrangements incorporating rock rhythms with spoken word, and that familiar driving energy that formed the cornerstones of punk rock as a genre and movement. Patti Smith describes this as “three-chord rock merged with the power of the word.” It’s the thrill of the original bangers from ‘Horses’, but with a sensitivity for the moment - the winning recipe for a truly extraordinary concert experience for adoring fans, curious music lovers, and newcomers alike.
